Violet Marie Barrientos

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved child, Violet Marie Barrientos, who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 3.

Violet was born on December 2, 2021 in Evergreen Park at Little Company of Mary Hospital to Diane and Anthony Barrientos. Though her time with us was far too short, her life was filled with laughter, love, and light - She loved Bluey, dancing, and loving hard everyone she knew. Violet brought joy to everyone who knew her! Her cheesy grin was contagious.

Violet loved watching her tablet, playing with Bluey, animals, candy, playing kitchen and using her imagination. She had a special way of getting you to do what she wanted with her smile and “nose trick” ask her Grandpa Chico! 

Violet will be deeply missed by Anthony and Diane (Hiatt) Barrientos (mom and dad), Charlotte (sister), Sally Preto and Norm Volpe (Grammy and Papa), John and Kelli Preto (Grandpa and Grandma), Linda and Kevin Hawn (Nana and Papa), Manny and Jeanne Barrientos (Grandpa Chico and Grandma), Carol Preto (great-grandma), Carolyn Fletcher (Baba), Michael Preto (uncle), Zander Preto (uncle), Joey and Betsy Marcanio (uncle and aunt), Travis and Keri Hawn (uncle and aunt), Malena Barrientos (aunt),  Adam Barrientos (uncle), and Lance Barrientos (uncle), Cynthia Marcanio (aunt), Alexis and Peter Kaufman (aunt and uncle), and many cousins and great aunts. She was preceded in death by Bob and Susie Flynn (great-grandparents), Christine Martino (aunt) , and Dom Marcanio (uncle).

We take comfort in knowing that Violet is now at peace, held in the arms of angels, and will always be remembered with love.

A celebration of life will be held on April 12, 2025 at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hill, Il 60465 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 pm. with memorials made by family members. All who loved Violet are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.
