Theresa (Terry) Shimkus, nee Predey, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2021, after battling illness. Beloved wife of the late Edward Shimkus. Loved mother of Barbara (James) Parente. Cherished grandmother (Nana) of Anne (Brian) Taylor, Jessica (Michael) Vieira, and Jeffrey Parente. Great-grandmother of William, Jeanne and Jillian Taylor and Matthew, Emily and Adelaide Vieira. Dearly loved sister of Veronica (the late Joseph) Galen and brother of the late Thomas (Faye) Predey. Devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews-Greg (Val) Galen, Linda (Rik) Mitchell, Tom (Sherlyn) Galen, Jim (Carol) Galen, Janelle (Tim) Witry, Bob Galen, Tom (Jan) Predey, Patty (Rob) Coleman, Laura (Mitch) Rice, and the late Michael Predey. Great nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew. Loving Daughter of the late Joseph and May Predey. Dear friend of Robert and Mary Medinger. Terry will be fondly remembered for her caring ways, her good humor, and her love of life. She will always have a place in the hearts of her loving family and friends.
