Tammara " Tammi" J. Sherd

Tammara " Tammi" J. Sherd nee Shlaustas age 58 years. Passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her residence in Oak Lawn, IL Devoted daughter of the late Richard and Jean nee Mattingly Shlaustas; dearest sister of Cynthia Shlaustas; Sweet niece to Junia Shlaustas and JoAnn Ratkay. She was a close cousin to many, a kind friend to an untold number of people from all over the States and a loving companion to Don (Duck) Allen. Tammi was a brilliant woman with a great zest for life. She worked for many years at Cub Foods in Illinois and Minnesota. After 20 + years at that organization, she went back to school and earned a master’s degree in mathematics in Education and then taught high school math. Throughout her career she had many medical adversities that she was able to overcome. Themedical issues that she faced were often times overcome by giving the doctor’s advice on how to treat her. In recent years she opened her own tax company, Tanzanite Taxes. She was able to help so many people with their financial issues as well give them life advice. Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 10, 2022 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills to St. Linus Church for Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery.
