Shirley Ann Dempsey

Shirley Ann Dempsey, beloved sister, aunt, and friend passed away March 30, 2024, at 80 years old.

She was born March 6, 1944, in Chicago to the late Harold and Elizabeth (Kiaune) Dempsey, the oldest of four sisters, Diana, Pat and Sandra Bort. Shirley loved her family and friends and spending time at the beach in northwest Indiana. She was the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

A visitation is scheduled on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. . A funeral service to be held Friday, April 5, 2024, at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home  11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills, IL  10:00 a.m.  Interment Saint Casimir Catholic Cemetery, Chicago, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to  Save the Dunes or  your local animal shelter as Shirley loved and cherished her animal companions throughout her life.
