Rose D. Martin

Rose D. Martin, age 94 (June 11, 1928 to August 14, 2022), wife of the late James Martin, Sr., loving mother of James Jr, and Burt (Cindy), and loving grandmother of Meghan and Gregory. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Rose, and her siblings, Ernie, Martin, Bernice, Marcella, Phyllis, and Eljane. Rose received her Masters Degree in Math from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), and was the Chairperson of the Math Department, and avid Computer Science teacher, at Lourdes Catholic Girls High School, in Chicago, for 30 years. She is listed in the International Who’s Who in Education, 1987. She was an active parishioner of Incarnational Catholic Church, in Palos Heights for many years, before becoming a resident at Franciscan Village, in Lemont, IL. She enjoyed many years of playing Bridge, and her hobbies included Gourmet Cooking and Dining. Visitation will be held Friday, August 19, at St. Patricia Catholic Church, 9050 S. 86 th Ave, Hickory Hills, IL, beginning at 9:30 a.m., until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment private In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franciscan Village, 1270 Village Drive, Lemont, IL 60439
