Mary Elizabeth Smalarz, nee Sweeney, age 67 years, resident of Palos Hills, IL. passed away on July 10, 2024 with her loving Sister by her side. Beloved wife of Jerrold Burke and the late Raymond Smalarz; devoted daughter of the late Melvin Sweeney and the late Renette nee Gecewicz (the late Bernard) Bergmann; cherished sister of Susan Kozicki and the late David Sweeney; loving stepmother and step-grandmother  to many; beloved aunt of James (Katie) and Jason Kozicki and Stephen Sweeney and Extended Family;  loving great-aunt of Serafina, Isabelle and James Kozicki; dear friend to many. 

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday 3-8 p.m. and Funeral Tuesday 9:15 a.m.  from the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL 60465 to Sacred Heart Church, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
