Linda M O'Brien

Linda O’Brien, 75 of Morrison, Illinois passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening April 2, 2025 at Elevate Care in Palos Heights. Linda was born on June 5, 1949 the second of seven children to Tom (Duke) Henry and Ellen (Dody) Henry. Linda grew up in Canaryville and lived in Chicago, IL the first half of her life. She then moved to “the country” and bought an old farmhouse in Morrison Illinois in 2002. Linda enjoyed the quiet life of the country, she was a talented gardener and enjoyed caring for many plants, flowers, and hummingbirds in her yard. She loved listening to the Beatles, sewing, interior decorating, refinishing antique furniture, she lived for a great bargain- & shopping at second hand stores, and she most especially loved spending time with her dog- her best little buddy Stewie. Linda is survived by her daughter, Katie O’Brien, Grant Park IL; and son, Kevin (Michaela) O’Brien, Palos Heights IL; She was a much loved “Gigi” to six grandchildren: Brendan, Devin, Aidan, and Courtney Conroy; and Collin and Charlie O’Brien. Linda was a cherished sister to Jack (Eileen) Henry, Ellen (Marty) Burke, and Mary Henry. Linda was proceeded in death by her husband Bill O’Brien, her parents, and three siblings: sister Kathy (Bill) Cordes, and brothers, Tom (Mary) Henry & Joe (Helen) Henry. She was a favorite aunt to several nieces and nephews, as well as a friend to many. Linda loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Saturday, April 5 2025 9:00 a.m. until time of prayers 11:00 a.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL. 60465 to Sacred Heart Church for 11:30 a.m. mass. Interment Private.
