Juan Jose Torres

Juan was born in Mexico City in 1957 and migrated to the United States in 1969. He graduated from Harrison High School where he was part of the winning Soccer State Championship Team. He studied at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where he obtained a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Not only did Juan pursue his dream of becoming an Accountant but also in opening his own accounting firm. 

Coming from a background that values family and the importance of giving back to the community, Juan opened his business in Little Village, Chicago. Since then, Juan has created a vast clientele that has trusted him with all their accounting and tax needs.

In January of 1989 Miguel Angel Torres (Brother), began his lifelong journey at Torres and Associates. Shortly after his Son, Juan Jr. joined him, now two of his Nephews and Nieces have joined the business and will continue his legacy.

Juan has been the anchor, mentor and strength for our family and community always willing to support us in good times and bad. He enjoyed life to the fullest, traveled from Bora Bora to Qatar and everywhere in between.

Juan’s parents (deceased) Federico Torres and Francisca Torres Rodriguez. 

Juan is survived by his children, Juan (Jessica)Torres, Gabriel and Jessica Torres. He was the proud Grandfather to JJ, Juliana, Gabriel and Giovani. He was a great brother to Yolanda(Miguel) Gonzalez, Federico+, Socorro (Hector) Soria, Gerardo+, Lupe (Javier) Herrera, Maria (Juan) Martinez & Miguel (Lupe) Torres an AMAZING uncle and friend to many.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday, January 6,2025 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Tuesday 9:15 a.m. prayer at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL to Sacred Heart Church, Palos Hills, IL  Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL
