John (Coachie) Bernard Sintich, aged 78 passed away peacefully in his home on December 11, 2024. He was born on July 1, 1946 in Pola, Crest (Trieste), Italy to parents Giovanni and Antonia nee(Cossi) Sintich. John was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa and Great Grandpa!!! He was a big football enthusiast (Collage & Pro), wine connoisseur, and long time member of the Chicago Lawn Ski Club.
John proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army 4th Infantry Division from December 20, 1965 until his honorable discharge on December 19, 1971 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, two Overseas Service Bars, and the Marksmanship Medal. He was an alum of Robert Lindblom High School Class of 1965.
John is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Carol, his sons Jason (Amanda) and Mark (Sarah), daughters Diane (Daniel), Robin, Kathleen (Kevin), and Jennifer (Edward), sister Wilma (Dinco), brother Frank; grandchildren Elise, Rilynn, Rebecca (Nicholas), Kendall (Scott), Joseph, Lane (Nicole), Madison, Emily, and Katie; great grandchildren Walker, uncle to Diane, Bob, Johnny, Emma, Gabe, Brooklyn, Nick (Colleen), and Leone and Taytum, Noelle, Hannah and Madeline. John is preceded in death by his parents Giovanni and Antonia Sintich and brother Silvano (Bev).
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, Dec. 16, 2024 9:00 a.m. until time of prayers 12:00 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL 60465 to Sacred Heart Church, Mass 12:30 p.m. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery
All are welcome to reminisce and honor the life and memory of our adored Coachie, who will always be remembered for his love, humor, and gentle nature. He will be deeply missed and his memory will remain forever in our hearts.
