George Panagiotaros

George Panagiotaros, 64 of Oak Lawn and formerly of Nestani Arcadia, Greece, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon November 25th.Beloved husband of Ekaterini (nee Spyropoulos) for over 39 years. Loving father of Teddy Panagiotaros and Pete (Dena) Panagiotaros. Dearest Pappou of Georgeo and soon to be Constantine. Dear son of the late Theodore and Konstantina Panagiotaros. Devoted son-in law of Pete and Georgia Spyropoulos and brother-in-law of Mena ( the late Zois) Dertis, Eleni (Yianni) Sideris, and Gus (Dimitera) Spyropoulos. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. George was the proprietor and owner of Nicky's Family Restaurant at 79th & Western. The restaurant business, Nicky's, and the people he served were his first love in life. He made himself an enormous part of the community with countless donation and support of the neighborhood and the local law enforcement . When he wasn't attending to the restaurant, he like to enjoy Movies, Comics and his occasional cigar. MAY HIS MEMORY BE ETERNAL. Visitation for Mr. Panagiotaros will take place Tuesday December 1st, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Palos Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 South Southwest Highway Palos Hills ( Next to McDonalds). Funeral will take place Wednesday morning December 2nd at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. George will be laid to rest at Bethania Cemetery of Justice Illinois.
