Dellaportas, Diana Paula Age 61. Passed away peacefully into eternal life on December 7, 2020. An incredible mother, daughter, sister and aunt. Devoted mother of Steven, Samantha, Peter, Demetra, and Taki the dog. Beloved daughter of Demetrios and Theodora (nee Armatas) Dellaportas. Loving sister of Maria, Peter (Diane Karvelas), Tom Dellaportas, and Michelle (Matt) Pipikios. Adored aunt, Godmother, cousin, friend and colleague to many. Diana was known best for her kind, caring and selfless spirit as a wonderful friend and educator of children. She enjoyed yoga, cycling, playing with her dog and grand dogs, and being with her countless friends and loved ones. Her commitment to her faith provided the foundation of her inspiring ability to overcome adversity. Her optimistic soul positively influenced the lives of many. May her memory be eternal. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12th from 9:00 am to 12:00pm noon at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, IL, 60458. Family only church service at 1pm will follow at Saints Constantine and Helen Church. Diana will be laid to rest at 2pm at Bethania Cemetery, 7701 S. Archer Avenue, Justice, IL 60458. All are welcome for visitation at the funeral home and cemetery. Please note: face masks and social distancing are mandatory. Diana worked at the Transition Center to help teach students with disabilities functional life and vocational skills with a further goal of promoting opportunities for their independence in employment, post-secondary education, and community experiences.
