Daphne Coleridge, age 92 of Dolton, Illinois passed June 3 after brief illness. Beloved wife of Clarence (Cole) Coleridge for the past 69 years. Loving mother to son Douglas Coleridge (Sheri) of Parker, Colorado; her daughter Janet Vickers(Joseph); Devoted Grandmother to Brandon Coleridge (Candice), Jenna Pronger(Gregory),and JayceVickers; Affectionate Great-Grandmother to Rylan Coleridge, Oakley and Arya Pronger. Daphneis proceeded in death by her parents James "Alex" Alexander Hennebury and Jennie Louise(nee Andrews), both of St. John’s Newfoundland; and her siblings Douglas Hennebury, Harold (Hal) Hennebury, and Betty DiNicola Howell (Hennebury). Daphne was born in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada. She fell in love and married Cole on Valentine’s Day 1951 while Cole was in active military service in the USAF. Daphne, Cole, Doug and Janwere deployed on 2 tours of duty in Germany and several locations in the US. They relocated to Dolton, Il to help Betty care for her three children after losing her first husband Bill. Daphne was known for her loving and caring nature, an exemplary example of kindness and sweetness Opening her home to servicemen on holidays, caring for friends and family she always showed how much she adored all who came in contact with her. Daphne enjoyed holidays, traditions, music and old movies. She will be sorely missed. Viewing and service will be conducted at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, IL 60465 on Friday June 5th from 4-6pm CST, service at 6pm CST.
