Anthony Werr

Anthony William “Tony” Werr, age 80. Loving husband of Elevera nee Douvris. Beloved father of Guinevere (Patrick) Murphy, Jason Anthony (Michele) Werr and Jessica Ann (Daniel) Gomez. Proud grandfather of Maeve and Fianna Murphy; McKenzie, Gabriella, Hudson and Rowan Werr; and Hayes and Tatum Gomez. Brother of Frank Werr, Liz Brousil, and the late Sara (Tom) Grohowski.

Retired employee of AT&T. Devoted member of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Eucharistic Minister, Usher and founding member of Sacred Heart Church.

Tony was a man who loved God and family. He also enjoyed Frank Sinatra, 50’s music and nature. Camping was his choice of vacations. As a Boy Scout, that was the best time of his life establishing lifelong friends. He was an expert sharpshooter and enjoyed hunting, preferably duck hunting. 

Visitation Friday 3-8 PM.  Funeral Saturday 9:15 am from the Palos Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy, Palos Hills to Sacred Church for 10:00 am Mass. 

Interment St. Mary Cemetery,  Evergreen Park. Donations in his honor to Sacred Heart Church Holy Name Society would be appreciated.
