It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Aleksas Salkauskas, on September 27, 2023. We are mourning the loss of a loving husband, world’s greatest father and grandfather, most precious great-grandfather, and someone who made a forever lasting impression on everyone he met. Although Aleksas’s life ended before we were ready, the time that he spent in our lives was memorable and full of joy. He was a light in this world, and now we need to continue shining his light by carrying it within us in our own lives.

Please join us for a celebration of life at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home at 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023. Funeral Saturday, October 7, 2023 10:15 a.m. prayers at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 Southwest Hwy. Palos Hills, IL to Nativity B.V.M. Church, mass 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Casimir Cemetery
