Socratis Pimenidis, (also known as Sam and Taki) 52 of Worth Illinois formerly of Drama Greece and migrated with his family to the United States in 1967, passed away early Saturday morning October 14th, 2017 at home peacefully with family at his side. Beloved son to Lambrini and the late Nicholaos. Loving brother of Olympia (Dimitrios) Diamantopoulos, Perry, and Mark. Dear uncle to Anastasi, and Niko Diamantopoulos. Dearest nephew of the late Sterios and Helen Laftsidis, Gregorgy and Eleni Hatzicostas, and Dimitiros and the late Anastasia Sirepisios, Gerasimos and Effie Georgiadis. Fond cousin of Bob and Sophie, John and Lilly, Sherman and Sandra, Fred and Maria, Perry, John and Maria, George, and Angie, and all of their families. Dedicated employee of Moraine Valley Community College proud coworker of Rick, Helen, Chris, Bill, Joanne, Bridget, Pamela, Joe, and many others for many years. Sam was a close childhood friend of the Ortiz family of Austin Texas, Mrs. Theresa, the late Rogelio, Best friend Roger, Maggie, Theresa, and Rosa, and their families.. Sam was a simple friendly guy who lived a stress free life, loved his family especially his nephews Anastasi and Niko. He also loved sports and loved being around people. The Pimenidis family would like to especially like to thank cousin Angela S., Vitas Hospice of Tinley Park, Kris P at MVCC, Marty T at BC/BS, and Father Tom DeMedeiros of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Palos Hills. MAY HIS MEMORY BE ETERNAL!
