Michael E. Mathis, age 67. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Lyons). Devoted father of Michael (Katie) and Marcia (Edgar) Sarmiento. Loving grandfather of Kai, Jonas, Michael and Amanda. Dear brother of Richard (Rosemary) Mathis and the late William, Sandra and Tony. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Michael worked many years with the Cook County Sheriff's Police Department and was a WGN traffic reporter. Visitation Thursday 3-9 PM at the Kerry Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th St., Palos Heights. Funeral Friday 10 AM from the funeral home to Incarnation Church, 5757 W. 127th St., Palos Heights for 11:00 AM Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. (708) 361 4235
