Sister Salvatore Ciuckyte, SSC, 93, beloved member of the Sisters of St. Casimir for 66 years, died April 10, 2017. Sister Salvatore taught in elementary schools in Illinois, Indiana, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Ohio. In addition to teaching she also was a pastoral minister for the Lithuanian community at Immaculate Conception Parish (Brighton Park) and Nativity BVM Parish (Chicago Lawn) in Chicago. Sister Salvatore is survived by her niece, Milda (Rimas) Klimavicius, and grandnieces Mileta Kemeziene and Jolita Zemaitiene, and sister-in-law, Aldona Ciuckis, and many nieces and nephews in Lithuania. Her parents, Konstancija and Povilas Ciuckis, and her five brothers and three sisters preceded Sister Salvatore in death. Visitation and Wake Service at Franciscan Village Chapel, 1270 Village Drive, Lemont, Saturday, April 22, 2017, 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 11:15 a.m. Interment, St. Casimir Cemetery.
