David Brasel

David F. Brasel, age 92, U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Beloved husband of the late Betty and the late Jan. Devoted father of Michael (Kathy), Stevan (Bea), Doug and the late Barb Basel. Loving grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 6. Cherished stepfather of Lois and Gail. David was instrumental in the development of the aluminum can "pop top" and worked as an engineer with Continental Can-Chicago. He was also a member of American Veterans, American Legion Post #111 and Hamfester's Club. Graveside service Monday, Nov. 21st, 11 AM at Beardstown City Cemetery, 1804 Wall St., Beardstown, Illinois.
