Mary Jane (Higgins, Mallo) Czech of Topeka, KS age 94 died February 14, 2016 at Aldersgate Village with Grace Hospice in Topeka, KS. She was born September 23, 1921 to Thomas and May Ellen Russell Higgins in Chicago. Graduated Kelly High School in Chicago, IL and married Arthur Fredrick Mallo May 3, 1941. He preceded in death Dec 14, 1946. Married Stanley J. Czech, Feb 2, 1963 he preceded her in death 2-24-89, and son, Arthur F. Mallo (Janet) 10-30-07, grandson, James Lind 6-1-84, sisters: Rose Montagano, Eleanor Charnas, Grace Sobun and brothers: Thomas, William, Jimmy & John. She retired from Campbell Soup in Chicago Daughter, Maryellen (Mallo) Lind (James) survives along with grandchildren: Kevin (Kathy) Lind, Michele (Dan) Koerperich, and Juliann (Matt) Harvey along with 13 great-grandchildren, sisters: Patricia (Lowell) Jerpe, Bernadette Defilipps and Leona (Richard) Bielski and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary retired from Campbell Soup in Chicago. She was a resident of Topeka Aldersgate for 8 years and formerly of Palos Hills, IL. member of Sacred Heart Church in Palos Hills, and Sacred Heart/St. Joseph in Topeka, KS. Visitation Friday Feb 19th, 9AM until time of Mass, 10AM at Sacred Heart Church, 8245 W. 111th St. Palos Hills. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
