Please put in CHICAGO TRIBUNE under “S” (for “Sister) on Sunday, May 3, 2015 and Monday, May 4, 2015 Educator, Nurse, Pastoral Minister and Musician Sister Paulissa Puisis, SSC, 99, beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Casimir for 80 years, died April 29, 2015. Sister Paulissa, a native of Chicago, taught music in elementary and high schools, in Illinois (Maria High School), Michigan, and Pennsylvania, and served as a nurse and in pastoral ministry in hospitals in Chicago (Holy Cross Hospital and Loretto Hospital) and Nebraska. Sister Paulissa is survived by her sister, Therese Marie (Raymond) Naujokas and sister-in-law, Joanne (+Edward) Puisis, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Her parents, Marijona and John Puisis, brothers, Anthony, Edward, Father John Puisis, CSV, and Father Leonard Puisis; sister-in-law Bernice (Anthony) Puisis and nephew, Stephen Puisis preceded her in death. Visitation at Franciscan Village Chapel, 1270 Village Drive, Lemont, Tuesday, May 5, 2015, 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (wake service at 4:30 p.m.) and Visitation at Sisters of Saint Casimir Motherhouse Chapel, 2601 W. Marquette Road, Chicago, Wednesday, May 6, 2015, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Resurrection, 10:30 a.m.. Interment, St. Casimir Cemetery.
