Faustas V. Strolia, age 83, of Oak Forest, passed away peacefully on December 31. Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Pupinik); beloved father of Paul (Agnes), Thomas (Laura), John (Christine), Matthew (Karen); cherished grandfather of Danielle, Aleksandra (Shivan and great-grandson Adriano), Nicole; Amanda, Cody; Nina, Nocholas, Francesca, Isabella, Mia, Jack; Sam and Chloe; fond brother of the late Vytautas (Irma) Strolia and nephew Darius and niece Grazina; fond brother of the late Herkulis Strolia and nephew Christopher and niece Elena; loving uncle of Georgianna Macke and many nieces and nephews. Faustas was a beloved music teacher, choir director, organist, violinist, composer, arranger, piano and accordion teacher, who worked in several Catholic parishes in the Chicago Archdiocese for over 30 years. Faustas was actively engaged in promoting the Lithuanian language and cultural heritage by writing and teaching songs to remember his homeland. His joy for teaching and his enthusiasm touched the lives of thousands of students around the world.
