Sr. Therese Banach

Sister Therese Banach, SSC, 81, (formerly Sister Rosalima) beloved member of the Sisters of St. Casimir for 62 years, died November 16, 2014. Sister Therese, a native of Chicago, ministered at Providence of God (Chicago), St. Norbert (Northbrook), St. Anthony (Cicero), Immaculate Conception (Chicago) and the Motherhouse of the Sisters of St. Casimir in Chicago. She also served at other schools and parishes in New Mexico, Minnesota, and at Villa Joseph Marie High School in Holland, Pennsylvania for 33 years. Sister Therese is survived by her sister, Corinne (John) Walsh, Hickory Hills, IL, and many cousins. Her parents, Louis and Mary Banach, her brothers, Jerome Banach and Ralph Banach, and her sisters Louise Van Den Hende (George), Loretta Banach, and Sylvia Banach, preceded her in death. Visitation at the Sisters of St. Casimir Motherhouse, 2601 W. Marquette Road, Chicago, Sunday, November 23, 2014, 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service. Mass of Resurrection, Monday, November 24, 10:00 a.m. at the Motherhouse Chapel. Interment, St. Casimir Cemetery.
