Virginia Fitzgerald

Virginia Helen Fitzgerald (nee LaVigne) was born in Milwaukee, WI, February 3, 1924 to William and Mary (Henneberry) LaVigne. Virginia married John Fitzgerald in June, 1946. She worked for Commonwealth Edison and the Interstate Smelting Company on Chicago’s Southeast side for over 30 years. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brothers James, Robert and William LaVigne and sister Bernice Haase. Virginia is survived by her daughter Patricia Yelmini, son-in-law Vincent Yelmini, her sister Laverne Blumka, grandchildren Lisa Yelmini-Metz (Robert), Laura Yelmini (Christopher Sporer), and seven great grandchildren Anthony Metz, Marissa Metz, Franchesca Metz, Gabriella Metz, Ralston Sporer, Tallulah Sporer, Bernard Sporer and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sacred Heart Fun Club. Visitation Monday 3-8PM at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 S. Southwest Hwy. (7700W) Palos Hills.
