Gery Tarter, 57, of Lemont, at Peace in Christ Tuesday Oct.1,2013. Dearly beloved husband of Catherine “Cathy”. Devoted and loving father of Brian M. and David J. Loving son of Dorothy and the late Joseph F. Tarter. Dear brother of Glenn (Susan) and Mary Jo (Mark) Mc Loughlin. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Will be sorely missed by Ken Holder, family friend. Gery was very athletic, playing hockey, baseball and golf (his second love in life, next to his family). He lived life to the fullest each day and lived by the philosophy, “Let the good times roll”. He worked for US Airlines as a fleet service lead for 26 years, where he was known for his tough, no-nonsense and dependable attitude. Memorial visitation Friday, Oct. 11th, 3-9PM at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 S. Southwest Hwy. (7700W) Palos Hills.
