Catherine Davidson

Catherine Marie "Kay" Davidson, 95 died peacefully September 29, 2012 at the home of her selfless caregivers: daughter and son-in-law Donna and Charles Haack of Pomeroy, Iowa. She was born on July 13, 1917 in Chicago to Frank and Kate (Schleyer) Simnacher. On July 30, 1938 she was married to the love of her life, Bernard "Bud" Davidson. They were married for 72 years. Kay is survived by her four devoted children: Donna (Charles) Haack, Diana (Wilson) Kruger, Doreen (Angelo) Campagna and Daniel (Joanne); 11 cherished grandchildren: Debbie (Larry) Sommer, Sandy Robbins, Allan (Judy) Kruger, Mark (Cindie) Haack, David (Jill) Haack, Suzanne (Erik) Bengston, Curt (Diana) Campagna, Kari (Ed) McQuillan, Cory (Roni) Campagna, Laura (Devin) Mueller, Lisbeth (Steve) Ulanowski; 20 great-grandchildren, great-great children, and many nieces and nephews with whom she shared her joy of living. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three sister: Elizabeth Wiltjer, Elsie Peters and Louise Gray, and her loving husband, Bernard in November of 2010.
