Clara J Guzdziol

Clara Josephine Guzdziol (nee Meyer). Born March 30, 1922. Passed away peacefully in her Palos Hills residence on Sept. 15, 2012. Devoted wife of the late Edward S. Guzdziol Sr. Loving mother of Edward Jr. (Anita), Diane (Mike) Fassnacht, Charlotte (Harry) Pfingsten, Loretta (Rob) Harper and Mary (Joe Grody) Guzdziol. Grandmother of Christine (David), Gary, Heidi (Jeff), Hollie, Carissa (Paul), Aaron, Max, Walter, Steve (Carri), Jonathan, Claire and Matthew. Great grandmother of Nathan, Zachary, Sarah, Julianna, Geneva, Andrew, Thomas, Bridget, Haili, Steven and Lillian. Aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Survived by sisters, Marie (the late Walter) Sambola and Loretta (Bob) Hamberger. Sister to the late Anthony Meyer, Louis (Eda) Meyer and Catherine Meyer. She will be sorely missed by her beloved caregiver Anna. Clara was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and married Ed on Sept. 18th 1944 and then moved to the Bridgeport neighborhood to raise her family. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Parish prior to moving to Palos Hills in 1989. Clara was an active member in the Sacred Heart Fun Club, as well as the Palos Hills Horizons and 39’ers Senior Groups. Visitation Tuesday 3-9PM at the Palos Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 S. Southwest Hwy. (7700W) Palos Hills. Funeral Wednesday 9AM from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Church for 10 AM Mass.
