Sister M. Christella Danish

Sister M. Christella Danish,SSC, 90,beloved member of the Sisters of St. Casimir for 69 years, died June 15,2012 after a long illness. Sister, a native of Philadelphia, PA, served as a elementary grade teacher at Our Lady of Vilna, Providence of God, All Saints and Sts. Peter and Paul Schools, Chicago. She served as the SSC Congregation Archivist for 21 years.Sister is survived by her sister Matilda Gergo, nephew Joseph Gergo, niece Barbara (Tom) Glock, and cousins. Sister's parents John and Alphonsa Danish, brother Walter, and sister Mary preceded Sister in death. Visitation at the Sisters of St. Casimir Motherhouse, 2601 W. Marquette Rd., Chicago, Thursday, June 21, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by Vespers for the Deseased. Funeral Mass Friday, June 22, 9:30 a.m. at the Motherhouse Chapel. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SSC Retirement Fund.
